There are 3 stages of a fly angler’s life in terms of Alaska. Either they have been, are going back, or want to go for the first time. Alaska is one of a handful of destinations that anglers want to go to in their lives. Scott Gobel and Mike Exl from the store wanted to develop this part of the world and have set out to find lodges that meet our criteria; more importantly, lodges that gave anglers opportunities for Rainbows and all the species of Salmon. There are many great lodges in Alaska that fit those criteria. There aren’t many though that do it with the value of Riversong Lodge. Riversong is the first of those lodges we have found out of our initial research and we are thrilled we did.
Scott and Mike took a trip to an area just north of Anchorage this past summer and discovered this fantastic lodge with first class fishing and wonderful food and accommodations. We have decided to add Riversong Lodge to the lineup of lodges for Wildcat Creek Travel Company.

Bolton Lake Lodge in Manitoba
This is one of the most fascinating destinations we sell. We heard about Bolton Lake from customers of ours who had gone to the lodge for many years with conventional gear. The stories of GIANT PIKE and HUGE LAKERS were expected. Great fishing for those species can be found in many areas of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. What got our ears perked up were the stories of BIG BROOK TROUT!
We know a lot about travel destinations and where trophy fish of many species can be found but this was one not on our radar.
