The Scott A4 in our opinion is the best American made rod under $400.00 on the market period. Everything else is either not quit up to par or is not made in the states. While we sell and a few rods made over seas our preference are rods made right here in the good ole US of A. Scott has long made fly shops in America a priority and believe the work they have done on this rod and others puts them in a discussion as one the two or three best fly rod makers in the country. To be honest most rod makers don’t put this kind of work into there mid priced rod. They move another model into place with little thought to why they built the rod. The truth is that the A4 is proof that Scott cares about fly anglers and what they get for their money.
