On a recent trip to Chile I got a chance to put the two piece system to the test. The Dakota Carry On was the rod and reel carrier obviously and it did the trick perfectly. It easily stows away on any plane in the over head because of its slight frame, perfect overhead luggage. We put 7 rods and 8 reels in this will room to spare. Not once was I asked to check it or did I have security even ask what it was, no problem. If you didn’t know, airlines now prefer anglers carry on rods and reels and even flies. This is the biggest no brainer and angler can get for their rod and reel investments. We crazy nuts over this case!!!
