This is the workhorse of the 12 line. With a slighter smaller arbor than the bigger 12 series it can handle a bunch of backing on a very light reel. This is the best option for those of you who want an oversized reel for your 10 weight. We like 10 weights for medium size Tarpon and this reel is perfect for that. This reel has lots of backing capacity for a reel that will fit a 10 through 12 weights. We love this reel for the money and think it is the best deal going in a highly technical 12 weight reel.
