Nautilus NV Fly Reel

The NV is the height of reel/drag design. Nautilus took the very advanced hermetically sealed cork drag system or CCF drag and then designed a reel with the lightest materials allowed. You still need a reel to be durable, just because it is light doesn’t mean it can’t be as durable as the big heavy built like a tank reels. The fact is that casting a rod reel combo that has one of those old fashion heavy duty reels just flat out wears you out over the course of a day. The NV is built with ceramics and titanium parts as apposed to the stainless steel parts in the CCF.

With the new 5/6 size and the 6/7, 8/9 and 10/11 this pretty much covers the whole gambit of fighting class reels. When you travel as much as we do fishing the world the you have to have reels that fight fish with no worry of failure. When we are in the Southern Chile or a remote lodge in Saltwater the tackle we take has to work and work over and over.
