At Wildcat Creek Outfitters we received a prototype sole for this shoe when they were still in development. We fell in love from the first time we put it on a pair of old Patagonia wading boots. Since then the current form of sticky sole has been at the forefront of non traditional wading shoe soles. We wear this boot more than any other and can testify to their stickiness. Now this is not the sole we recommend on really high gradient flat shale we find in the Great Lakes region. We believe that studded felt is preferable in that kind of water. These are also the most environmentally responsible shoes any one can take on a trip with them. With these soles no spores or other types of disease can be transmitted from one part of the country to another or to another country for that matter.
